5 Stars - Expert service. Quick and reliable.
I had small problem with my elevator intermittently not working. I called RCM, spoke with Kathy who set up a service call 2 hours later. The techs, I believe Sean and Zach, ran up and down the stairs until they diagnosed the problem. One faulty switch needed replacement and a few days later everything was fixed and it works like a charm.
Anyone familiar with Annapolis area construction knows a home built by Guy Pilli is top of the line. He only uses the best. In fact, my home was completed almost 18 years ago and I continue to use the same A/C-Heat, Electricians, Plumbers, irrigation, and other companies were here during construction. 5 Stars - We live in a 102 year old Victorian style home where we wanted to grow old as we are currently in our mid 70`s. To that end we wanted to put in an elevator. We contacted Angel from RCM Elevators to help us out. They were extremely helpful in the design phase with out builder to create an elevator that would fit into the motif of the house decor and yet be functional and reliable. The installation went as smooth as silk, mostly due to Angel`s diligence at tracking and managing all the details of construction into such an old residence. The job was done on time and on budget. We have had several years of maintenance free operation and could not be more pleased with the results and the support from Angel and her team at RCM Elevators. They are a credit to their profession and we would highly recommend them to anyone seeking an elevator.

1 Stars - Otis does not meet the terms of their contracts. I work for a small business that is in a contract with Otis, and they are the most unreliable vendor we use. Our contract stipulates that Otis will maintenance the elevator 4 times a year; we had one year where they visited twice, and another where Otis went an entire year without providing maintenance. When I brought this to their attention, their solution was to offer a pitiful discount. I don`t remember the exact amount of the discount (maybe $200), but we pay over $2,000 a year for Otis to maintain our elevator and they did absolutely nothing. When they do decide to visit, they show up unannounced.
I would recommend looking elsewhere for an elevator maintenance company. I tried to find another, but the industry must not be known for customer service. None of the other 4 I contacted made an effort to provide us with an estimate for service. (J - a year ago)

1 Stars - This has to be the worst elevator repair company out there. They have been out at least 8 times. Supposedly fix the elevator. It then works for a half day or so, then they come back because of the same problem! They have 3 buildings in our condo complex. Same issues. Repeat calls and failure to fix things. 1 Stars - I don’t think this company knows what it is doing. They are putting in new elevators in our building and they break down every couple of days. We have people getting stuck in them and have to call the fire department to get them out. Brand new elevators should not be breaking down every couple of days. People are starting to be scared to use the elevators for fear of being stuck. Yesterday out of 4 elevators only one was working. Not good for a 16 story building with 300 apartments. 1 Stars - We were trapped on an elevator at Extra Space Storage on Route 43 in Middle River for 1.5 hours the other day. We called on the emergency phone. The operator advised she would get the manager back to the facility as it was after 6 p.m. The repair person was not called at that time. The manager could not get the doors open. He called the service tech. More delay ensued. We called repeatedly on the emergency phone (there was no cell service) and were told that the operator had no idea where the tech was and when he or she would arrive; we could not be called because the elevators at the facility were on a single line; and we had no choice but to wait. When I asked what Schindler would do if we had a medical emergency the operator hung up. Schindler does our condo development and I am going to tell the management company to get some other bids if this is the way they service customers. (David T - 3 years ago)

5 Stars - The installer didn`t arrive at the time, designated, but after arriving he explained the reason. He was polite and, quite, efficient. He would take time to explain each step as he installed our new unit. He explained, in thorough detail, the steps for operation. He completed the installation, almost, right on the exact time he estimated. (Four hours) His installation was so precise it seemed like the house was built around the unit. The sales person was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the products and options. The installer was polite, knowledgeable and very patient with my elderly father. 5 Stars - We had our Bruno Elan lift installed today. We tested it and works fine. We signed the contract yesterday and they came today to install it.
Installation was fast and there was no mess at all. Andrew and Charlie were very helpful, friendly and explained to us how to use it. They answered all our questions. Thank you gentlemen.

5 Stars - I was pleased from start to finish with American Lift and Elevator, Timonium, MD. I had two Bruno chair lifts installed in my home for my mother who is 96 and myself. As my mother said, we should have done this sooner. From start to finish, my contacts with personnel were courteous, friendly, and helpful, especially with my many questions during installation, which only took three hours. My two installation technicians, Andrew and Charlie, went out of their way to accommodate us. They were highly professional--neat and focused on details. For buying two, I received a handsome discount, making the whole project very affordable. I would highly recommend Bruno products and this company to anyone thinking about in-home chair lifts. 1 Stars - Our condo elevator is down and TK says they should be out around Christmas or New Years! Elevator went out on 12/6! My husband is handicapped and stuck in our building, likely thru Christmas. TK knows seniors are stuck - one other building elevator was out for 7 weeks! Seniors can’t do steps. 1 Stars - I was driving to work this morning in owings mill area and as I was driving I saw a TKE Promaster city van behind me. He starts to ride my bumper pretty close, we get up to the light by 91(Emory rd) and he goes over to the middle lane and tries to speed past me. I’m still in front of the guy and he speeds up to me again even closer yelling at me to pull over putting his blinker on hinting me to pull over, driving on the shoulder of the road almost hitting my vehicle several times. This type of erratic driving behavior isn’t necessary and I really do hope the company finds out who it was and fires him. I wouldn’t want him working for me if I had a business and also I’m pretty sure the vehicle are monitored by gps.
