1 Stars - Our medical office has had a contract with Thyssenkrupp for maintenance of our elevator. In past years their service was fine with more frequent service calls for routine maintenance. Over the past few years, these maintenance checks have been less and less frequent, although I am not aware that the service contract specifies the number of checks they are supposed to perform. Because of price increases and decreasing customer service, we were going to cancel our service contract. When we attempted to do so we were told we needed to send a certified letter to do this. We complied and sent a certified letter and then we were told that unfortunately we had missed the window to cancel and that the contract had automatically renewed for FIVE YEARS. We were shocked as we had not realized this was the case (we simply had continued the contract that I think originated with the prior owners of the building). We submitted a letter stating our intent to cancel the contract at the time of the next renewal and then we were told that we could not send this type of notification this early. Essentially, they told us that we had a one month period of time every 5 years during which we could notify them of our intent to cancel the contract. We failed our last state elevator inspection (now conducted under the auspices of The Department of Homeland Security). A few of the reasons for our failure to pass the inspection are our responsibility (some burnt out light bulbs among the multitude of bulbs in the ceiling and a exhaust fan that required cleaning), but the remainder of the violations were service issues that were to be addressed by Thyssenkrupp. My advice to potential customers would be to have your attorney carefully review the service agreement before entering into a contract with this company.

1 Stars - Have been without a working residential elevator since Thanksgiving week and it is now Jan 10, 2021. They could care less that we cant get to our beds nor to bathtub upstairs; let alone the fact that a wheelchair will not even fit into our small bathroom downstairs. Communication is very lacking & they just could not give a hoot!! If it were possible to give no stars i would!! (K H - 3 years ago)
1 Stars - I had a great initial experience with them, but it seems as if they’ve dropped off the face of the earth. If they have issues to address, I hope they get it done and get back to work. (John Quilhot - a year ago)
