1 Stars - We used Pace elevators to install in our family’s new custom built home. Matt was very friendly in the beginning and ensured they’d follow us along and ensure no problems arise after the installation. It worked for a few weeks and then we started experiencing problems. They refuse to send an experienced technician to address the issue and now we’re stuck using a different company to come and fix the issue that were still having. I would STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST using them for any residential or commercial elevators. We are also now in contact with TSSA about the quality and experience we’ve had with Pace. 1 Stars - This elevator company is not trustworthy. Our reputable elevator company has to fix other elevators whom they supposedly serviced yet left in non-working order. They send a young, inexperienced technician who needs to constantly be on the phone with their manager rather than the manager visiting your home. They bill you for their time yet leave your elevator unusable in your time of need. Parts ordered rush do not arrive in a timely manner. They supposedly fixed parts of our elevator yet left it in non-working order when our daughter was recovering from knee surgery. Do not use this company if you need a working elevator. 1 Stars - Absolutely horrible customer service. We had an elevator installed in our house by this company and their technicians did such a bad job, the elevator constantly stops working. They used to come fix it in about 20 mins and the elevator would work for a day and then stop working again. We have asked them for the electrical blueprints so that we can have a reputable elevator electrician repair it but they won’t even answer our calls anymore. 1 Stars - Very disappointed with our experience with Pace Elevators just like Emad below.
They promised they could take care of Schindler elevators but one of our elevators was shut down for 8 months straight.
They also told us about a crack in the sling of one of the elevators in December 2022 but did not report it until September 2023 to the TSSA because we rejected their modernization quote.
They told us to repair the crack that we had to modernize the elevator at around $170,000.
Thankfully we are no longer working with them and have found a new elevator company who repair the crack for much less and we do not have to modernize the elevator at all.

1 Stars - Our apartment building has 1 elevator. You would think a professional company would go above and beyond to make sure the materials and labour are %100 ready to go before shutting down the only elevator. The other day i walked by and the labourer was on the phone getting trained on what to cut next. At least send someone that knows what they are doing...3 months everyone in this building has to sherpa their groceries up the stairwell. 1 Stars - Would give zero stars if possible, this company will recommend a contractor (friend of management) , Al Walker who is then paying elevator one back kick backs for all the work they throw him. He is just one guy, (no right hand man…no one will work with him regularly, because he lies and rips them off) he can’t do all the work in a timely manner as he is fairly old, Elevator one won’t take liability for their referral and recommendations, they just take your money. After the initial installation, our elevator was problematic, but after Elevator One took over the contract, we`ve had no issues with our machine. 1 Stars - Not recommending this elevator company, my elevator broke down numerous times within one and half year, scheduled technician to service and got No Call No Show twice.
Elevator broke down again last week and technician came over said parts needed to be changed and Lakeview Elevator charged us over $300 for the half an hour visit just to tell us parts needed to be replaced, elevator still not working, and I need to pay another 2 hours labour for replace the parts for next visit. 5 Stars - I recently had an elevator overhaul done by Lavkeview Elevator and I must say that the experience was exceptional. The team was professional, efficient, and very knowledgeable about their work.
From the moment I contacted them, they were responsive and accommodating. They explained the entire process to me in detail and answered all of my questions patiently. The team arrived on time, and the work was completed within the given timeframe.
The overhaul was done with great care, and the team ensured that everything was working perfectly before they left. I am extremely satisfied with the results, and the elevator is now working better than ever before.
Overall, I am very impressed with the service provided by Lakeview . They have exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of elevator services. Thank you, Steven , for your excellent work and exceptional service!

1 Stars - I was really surprised to see so many 1 Star reviews about the company`s drivers but here I am because this driver almost caused me to rear end him because he cut me off as I was slowing down for a red light. Apparently being first in line for a red light is super important to them.

5 Stars - I had an annual maintenance service in early this year, 2024. I experienced no noticeable issues other than it made cranky sounds when it pulls. The service team of two people came to fix that issue by replacing the part. Now I can`t hear any noise. Everything I deal with them from start to finish is seamless, nothing I should doubt about. As a result of my initial review we finally got a response from a certified Cambridge service company (Diamond Elevator- they were great). They identified a number of issues from the original installation contractor and seem to have everything running smoothly again. I`ll update my review again after a few months and let you know if we`re finally out of the failure / repair loop.

Avoid any home with a Cambridge Elevating unit, and definitely look at other brands if you’re doing an install! We moved into a San Francisco condo with a new Cambridge elevator and it has been a nightmare. It has broken down several times a year, and it takes MONTHS to get repaired each time. 5 Stars - What a great company to work with!! We ordered elevator door frames for a four house project in Ithaca and the contractor had questions about the bore of the doors that I could not answer. I made a conference call to Joe Hickey with our contractor on the phone and he was able to answer the questions with great knowledge. The next day, the person making the doors called me with another question about the bore of the doors and once again I reached out to Joe to ask him if he would call the gentleman to answer his questions. Within 5 minutes of my email, Joe made the call and everything was resolved. Now that`s great customer service! We will definitely work with Belco Doors the next time we need doors or frames!! 1 Stars - I`ve never visited here. I am only rating them on their customer service. I do not know who I spoke to on the phone but I was pretty insulted by whoever it was. I called to inquire about a product, mainly to learn about how they work so I could see if it would be viable for a job I am working on. I didn`t see that this company was based out of Canada but was quickly informed of its location as soon as the customer service rep and I started speaking. I`m sure my southern accent gave it away that the job wasn`t going to be in Canada. Even so, I still wanted to inquire about the product for my own knowledge. I get that this person had no business continuing to speak with me since we would not be working together. Also I`ll admit, it was a cold call and I know people are busy, that one is on me. But, the level of rudeness I was met with is inexcusable from any customer service standpoint. I was cut off from my sentence, the rep took a very snarky tone with me, and then hung up on me. A local ADA guy here in Houston was giving me trouble, so I called up Niagara Belco, and was given to Joe Hickey. He shared his expertise and gave me the knowledge I needed to fight the fight. 1 Stars - -10 stars if I could. My dogs and I were nearly run over by one of this companies drivers this morning while walking across a pedestrian crosswalk in the east end of Hamilton today. The van came within an inch of me and my one dog while I was in the middle of the crosswalk. I’d hate to see the kind of work this company does if their drivers are in that much of a rush that they can’t even follow the law and risk human life. That’s gross…. My neighborhood is full of small children and dogs, it’s in an elementary school district… these are the people they let drive their company vehicles? 5 Stars - October 15, 2019 our elevator was under construction to be replaced, it was the original since 1968. Two great guys, Brent and Adam came in and worked six days a week 10 - 12 hours a day. Tony Pallo, the Operations Manager is top notch, he was always on time with appointments and very organized in getting the job done. He was always available to take our calls and quick to respond to emails. He trained a few of us on how to operate the Lift and he was very patient( thanks Tony).
