1 Stars - Overall not great company, similar to others, we had a bad experience with them. They simply either don`t care about you, or they want to get money from you. Service is limited to put it short. (Mori Yoshihiro - a week ago)
5 Stars - Quality Allied Elevator is a very reliable and professional company. The staff that come to this building are all great. We are pleased with their service here at 154 University Ave. To all of the staff Thank you so much. (Robert Knight - a month ago)
1 Stars - I’m cancelled my contract with quality but they keep sending me bills and threatening to send my bills to a lawyer for collection. Instead of simply cancelling my account they threaten me. Anyone else have such issues? I can’t stress enough how unprofessional they were towards me. Maybe if they see this review I’ll get this problem settled. (David Alon - 4 months ago)
1 Stars - Driver proceeds to use no indicator in merge lane, then starts to road rage after i honk at him.. Throws his arm out the window then does 40 in a 60 continuously for a solid 5 minutes.. We separate ways and he ends up turning around to follow me to a restaurant and waits outside till i come out.. Hire some new drivers absolutely crazy! (TJ Sutherland - 6 months ago)
1 Stars - I cannot attest to the quality of their elevator service, but if it’s anything like their driving, it must be atrocious beyond belief. The fact that there’s already a 1 star review just from their careless and uncourteous driving habits speaks volumes. Here’s a suggestion: drive better so you don’t end up running all your customers over! (Bonan Bray - 10 months ago)

5 Stars - Peak Elevator is the most responsive and well-trained company we`ve ever had handle the elevator for our small business. Our technician was extremely well-versed with the equipment, took the time to explain everything for us and quickly cleaned up a small oil spill from our equipment. We`ve had several companies perform inspections for us in the past and Peak Elevator was hands down the best. Highly punctual and we had wonderful dealings with the company owner Shawn. Would highly recommend and extremely reasonable rates. (Matthew Granite - 6 months ago)
5 Stars - Great service overall. Tech was on time, friendly and knowledgeable. The elevator door used to stick a bit and previous companies never addressed it - Peak was able to fix it with a simple cleaning (without me asking). Yes I recommend. (kachonglow - 6 months ago)
5 Stars - Very responsive and solution driven. It was a pleasure dealing with the team and they offered cost effective options. (Dora Konomi - 5 months ago)

5 Stars - Perfect product for a residence! I first contacted Garaventa for a home elevator for my father at his request. The sales representative for the company was very prompt in attending the home and getting the order under way. While none of us were expecting some of the unanticipated delays due to an unforeseen backlog, once the unit was delivered, service installation was efficient, complete with the installers cleaning up on completion. My father, who ran his own construction company during the entirety of his lifetime, was impressed with the congeniality and professionalism of the installers. We have had no issues with the operation and support to answer any of our questions has been great. We are very happy with the quality and the results Garaventa delivered! (Arlene Iantomasi - 5 years ago)
5 Stars - Thank you Bob for being a great resource to design and implement our residential elevator.
Over the years i have worked with a number of elevator companies in both residential and commercial projects. I have been most impressed by the design and operation of the Garaventa elevator. I have been very happy with the servicemen who have been involved with the installation and service of this unit. The elevator has been a G-d send for our mobility challenged mother, who has been able to maintain her independence and freedom within her home. I look forward to using this system in future projects.

5 Stars - As the owner of Grand Design Build, I have been associated with Garaventa Lift for the past 3 years. I am very happy with the level of service and professionalism provided by the Garaventa team. The Garaventa team members are friendly and highly cooperative with both me, other sub trades, and in interactions with our homeowners. The quality of their home elevators compliments and meets the high quality finishes related with our homes. (Allen Misaghi - 6 years ago)
1 Stars - Comments:
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. We called the company to install 2 elevator for 2 houses in the same year. One never run from the beginning, called them several times, they never come back after took all payments. Then finally they came, charged for the visit , and give the quote for to make its run with the price almost half of the cost of the whole elevator, they said because it`s passed one year warranty. We then called another reliable company, fix the problem with reasonable price. I wish I did the research before I used them.
Response to owner`s reply on Dec 21, 2018:
That’s not true.
The elevator not fully installed and operating but Garaventa Lift Ontario requested the money, and we agreed because they said that is the procedure. Since they took the money we have requested them numerous times to come back to finish the job but they keep on delaying and don’t return many of our calls.
We’re waiting for the Committee of Adjustment and the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) for approval, because of this procedure the house was stopped for almost a year. During this time the elevator was not complete and did not run, and nobody uses it because of this reason.
Once OMB approved our changes we continue and called Garaventa Lift Ontario to complete the job. But they said the elevator is out of warranty and we needed to renew. Their reason, the elevator was turn to us over a year, so the warranty have expired (that time the house still under construction, nobody used it).
We argued that it was never run, but had no choice than to pay. They charged additional fee for their visit, then give us the quote for almost half of the whole elevator to make it run. They blamed on the basement floor was not finished, but it has nothing to do with the elevator. The ESA did the final inspection for the house and found the company never got a permit for the elevator. When ESA called the Garaventa Lift Ontario, they denied it, said they had nothing to do with the job. This is their job and they failed to apply for the permit.
In the end we had to call another company to complete the unfinished job by Garaventa Lift Ontario and make it run. The other company was much cheaper and easier to deal with than Garaventa Lift Ontario.
Please stay away from this company. We wish others have warned us about Garaventa Lift Ontario before we used them. (GTA Reef - 5 years ago)
4 Stars - The company is located in BC and you have to wait several months if you need service in Ontario. we used this company to buy and install elevator for our custom home. The elevator has problem from 1st day and it takes for ever for them to fix it. Each part they have to order to come from BC takes months. We are so disappointed with this company and I wish we had more research about them before using them.
Update from Customer: March 7/2018: Finally someone from your company called yesterday to fix the problem.I am not sure how much the main office is aware of the service of Toronto office, but for your information, your service man tried to fix the problems with our elevator a few times just after I reached the customer relation in Vancouver, but as of today the problem of very noisy and shaking cabin is not fixed. Thanks for following up!
UPDATE FROM CUSTOMER: April.02/2018: Our elevator is finally fixed and works well. After 6 months of follow up and several Technicians attempts, a professional Technician was able to figure out the problem and fix it in an hour! Thanks head office for follow up. (Mitra S - 5 years ago)

5 Stars - Element Elevators is the highest quality of workmanship I have ever dealt with or come across in my three decades of work in property management. The standard of work they hold themselves to and provide to their customers is beyond exceptional. The level of communication is unprecedented, with excellent customer service, rapid responses, and a phenomenal desire to help problem solve. The quality of the work and maintenance required is at the highest level, a true rarity in this business. They maintain their integrity and workmanship while also being cost effective, every cost has its purpose without massive overhead. By far, the best elevator company on the market now and for years to come! (D.R. - 2 years ago)
5 Stars - My building has had a really positive experience with Element Elevators. There have been some issues neglected by one big name elevator company, so I decided to try working with a boutique company and it proved to be a really good decision. I`d like to mention here the excellent communication with Lucy, the quality of the work completed by elevator technicians led by Florin and generally the professionalism of the whole team. (Daniel Bonea - 2 years ago)
5 Stars - This is one of the best elevator company that I have worked with in the last 25 years.
Most reliable, excellent costumer service, with extensive knowledge on the products availble, making recomandation based on client needs, this way we can align with our budget without compromising in quality or safety.
I had an issue with the internal phones and the man company send us a quote of $3000 per elevator to replace the phones. I contacted Element Elevator and on the first site visit for the quotation the fixed the phones by simply program it properly to interface with our new phone system. This is just a small example.
I would recommend Element Elevators Inc. to any building operators or hotel managers.

5 Stars - We switched to Element Elevators in 2018 and it was the best move we could have made!
Element Elevators is extremely quick to respond to any service requests.
They perform regularly monthly services that are also exceptional.
I would highly recommend making the change to this company. (Lee Cornish - 2 years ago)
5 Stars - Element Elevators and their entire team are highly competent, knowledgeable , respectful, conscientious and responsible to their workmanship and their customers. Approximately two years ago they completed a full overhaul of our 4 elevators in our older eleven floor residential apartment buildings and continued with a service contractor.
I couldn`t be happier with the quality and time efficiency of their work.
They remind me of how business use to run , with complete pride in workmanship.
After my experience with an other major player in the industry, I am so proud to claim our building elevators are built and serviced by Element ! (john cirillo - 3 years ago)

1 Stars - Worst Customer Service and follow through of any contractor i have had in my 40 years of experience. Their neglect and lack of responsiveness is nothing short of disgusting. Right up to the CEO Lisa Konnry - not one returned call for contracted work. If you have a choice stay away from this company. (Paddock Road - a month ago)
1 Stars - This is a horrible terrible company please stay away. They make sure someone recovering from cancer hears the absolutely loudest elevator sounds for months on in claiming they have fixed the problem when they have not and everyone is aware. This is a Lazy slobbish money hungry greedy company that will let you suffer to die in the comfort of your home bc they don’t want or can’t do their job right. You are terrible people full of excuse miserable people. 101 peter street location. (Azalea S - 4 months ago)
1 Stars - This review is not based on the company/craftsmanship. Just a couple of employees.
My partner and I were out having breakfast this morning, next to a table of two men. To the annoyance of the fellow diners, they LOUDLY played voicemail messages on speakerphone while diners tried to enjoy their meal.
This lasted about ten minutes straight.
When my partner opted to be the one to ask them to please turn down the volume, she was rudely met with a grunted “We’re in a meeting!”, like they were some sort of dignitaries.
No one less in the restaurant wanted to hear business discussions much louder than anything else in the room.
On top of that, the impolite response was uncalled for.
I kept my temper in check, and watched out the window to see if there was a company logo on their vehicle.
Just a sad reminder of how poor actions can negatively affect a business. (Murray McKay - 11 months ago)
1 Stars - I live in a condo in London, Ontario. I had dropped my keys down the shaft of the elevator in my building and I called my superintendent to place a call to Schindler Elevators who has the contract for the building to retrieve the keys. I was standing beside my super when he called to advise that I had dropped my keys. My super advised them that this was NOT an emergency and to retrieve the keys the next time they attended at the premises. I called my son who used to work for that elevator company and he called and spoke with Darren. Darren advised my son that he had already retrieved the keys and they were left at the condo. I had received them the next and said to my super that they had better not charge me because we had specifically told him that it was not an emergency. My super advised if Schindler charged me for this, that we would make a complaint and I also agreed as this would not cost me anything if it was not an emergency.
Of course, I received an invoice from the Schindler charging me $234.38 for an emergency retrieval of my keys. This incident occurred in October and I left the 1st message with no call back from them.
I have now called 3x and have not received a call back from them. I advised them today that if I’m not important enough to contact me then I’m not important to pay this fraudulent invoice which stated that the owner approved the charge which is definately not true as I specifically asked my super to make the call in from of me. So there would be no miscommunication about the service. He was told there would be NO charge since it was not an emergency.
This is terrible, deplorable behaviour of Schindler to charge a senior for something she specifically advised them not to do on an emergency basis and then charges me anyway and that will not return any of my messages.
You won’t be getting any recommendations from me.
Shame on you!!!!! (Martha Wainright - a year ago)

Ted the owner gives personal attention and very honest . Affordable prices and knowledgeable stuff.Customer service is also phenomenal. I called for a next day service, not only did they accommodate for the day but also they accommodated me with the meeting time. Muniza and the technician were both outstanding, very personable and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Elevated Services (Tina Thrower - 4 years ago)
5 Stars - I cannot speak highly enough of this service - from the mechanics, technicians to the administrative folk. They are amazing!
We were in a real pickle when my father died and my mother was coming to stay with us. We needed the elevator badly and the other service we`d been trying to get to fix it kept us waiting 6 weeks. Not only did Ted send reassuring emails to let us know they`d help us out, I learned he had been on vacation out of the country! Wayne and Alec came and worked hard (and long - even late on the Friday of a holiday weekend) to make sure we had the elevator running for my mother`s arrival. Not only that, their sensitivity and condolences were so sincere and extremely comforting to all of us at such a tough time.
Since then, we were impressed at the well organized maintenance plans they provided for us. There was no hard sell at all - simply an opportunity to choose what worked for us. It was so clearly laid out, it was simple to choose. We are delighted that they will come regularly and that they will stimulate the appointment making at appropriate intervals to ensure regular elevator maintenance.
Since then, we had one other nasty time when we were both stuck in the elevator with lots of groceries - including melting icecream. We phoned the number - and Ted`s cheerful voice greeted us and helped problem solve how to get out of the elevator. He was willing to come and help if we couldn`t manage over the phone. His calm demeanour, genuine care for people and pride in his work make us loyal customers!
Not to be forgotten is the very personable Muniza who has been cheerful and helpful over the phone on several occasions, facilitating easy bill payment and appointment scheduling.
No matter how big you get, I do hope you all continue to embody the wonderful qualities that make you your service truly "elevated".
We are so grateful. (Lori Edey - 4 years ago)

1 Stars - Terrible company, lack of customer service, no follow through and things needing repair at the condo I am the property manager at. They keep passing on the blame to other and when you call the account rep he says he did not hear about my concern until I told him. Clueless and irresponsible and the sad thing TSSA does not do anything about this either.
If you want to place them in your building to service, you might want to think twice!!
Disappointed and will be looking for someone to take over and do what they are hired to do! (TSCC1851 Management - a year ago)
1 Stars - Trash. Pretty sure they fix their elevators with play-doh and chop sticks. Their repairs last a few days at most. (elran123 - 2 months ago)
1 Stars - Absolutely the worst company to deal with. Never have I ever experience such a lack of customer service from both the front line employees to the technicians to senior management to even the executives. Problems after problems arise and ongoing promises of when repairs are done are NEVER kept. Their only interest is to charge you money and have you get new elevators which they claim they will service. Don`t fall for this. It is a lie.
Escalated our issues to senior management who never returns calls or emails. Escalated to district manager who never once returned a call after leaving 10 messages!
Avoid this company at all costs! Highly highly highly DO NOT RECOMMEND! Google Yelp for reviews of ThyssenKrupp and you will see that it is a worldwide issue. This company is a joke! (Perry Best - 8 years ago)
1 Stars - There is not a single week that the elevators in my (new) condo building would work properly. It`s over a year now and really disturbing. You might think that could be late at work because a delay on subway but you can be short on time already before leaving your building! It`s really ridiculous, I`m even tired with all e-mail notifications I receive from the property managers. Shame. (Rob - 6 years ago)
1 Stars - AVOID AVOID AVOID. Their elevators suck, their repair and customer service are even worse! They took 6 month to replace a simple board. At times almost all of building elevators are out of service. This company is a scam and needs to be stopped by government or something!! 1 Stars - The worst elevator company
The technicians are not knowledgeable
In my building one elevator broke down one month ago until now nothing has been fixed.
When technician fixed one elevator only is good for one week . (Nima Partow - 6 months ago)
1 Stars - These service technicians are at best incompetent and rude, and by my experience racist. Technicians (John) who claim to be in danger when their slow work forces them to share elevators with multiple people of colour have obviously found a home here. Couldn`t be more disgusted by the quality their work. If you care about quality, dignity or human rights do not hire. (Common Peace - 2 years ago)
1 Stars - Complete crap. They`ve been in our building everyday for FIVE MONTHS and not only have all the elevators been out of service at least three times this week. People have been stuck in them! Stroke patients and other medically fragile people are being forced to walk upstairs and down and all the company has to say for itself is direct your complaints to the building management. Unable to provide any explanation as to why elevators keep malfunctioning. Very dismissive. Very uncaring about quality of service and lack there of. (Michelle Miller - 7 years ago)

1 Stars - We used Pace elevators to install in our family’s new custom built home. Matt was very friendly in the beginning and ensured they’d follow us along and ensure no problems arise after the installation. It worked for a few weeks and then we started experiencing problems. They refuse to send an experienced technician to address the issue and now we’re stuck using a different company to come and fix the issue that were still having. I would STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST using them for any residential or commercial elevators. We are also now in contact with TSSA about the quality and experience we’ve had with Pace. 1 Stars - This elevator company is not trustworthy. Our reputable elevator company has to fix other elevators whom they supposedly serviced yet left in non-working order. They send a young, inexperienced technician who needs to constantly be on the phone with their manager rather than the manager visiting your home. They bill you for their time yet leave your elevator unusable in your time of need. Parts ordered rush do not arrive in a timely manner. They supposedly fixed parts of our elevator yet left it in non-working order when our daughter was recovering from knee surgery. Do not use this company if you need a working elevator. 1 Stars - Absolutely horrible customer service. We had an elevator installed in our house by this company and their technicians did such a bad job, the elevator constantly stops working. They used to come fix it in about 20 mins and the elevator would work for a day and then stop working again. We have asked them for the electrical blueprints so that we can have a reputable elevator electrician repair it but they won’t even answer our calls anymore. If you are looking to have a residential elevator installed, do NOT go with this company. (Sarah Mallo - a month ago)
5 Stars - Lots of praise to the team at Pace Elevator. Matt and Tyler worked efficiently to get the job done. When speaking to Faye over the phone she was super professional and prompt to answer any and all my questions. (katrina kuennen - 4 months ago)
1 Stars - Very disappointed with our experience with Pace Elevators just like Emad below.
They promised they could take care of Schindler elevators but one of our elevators was shut down for 8 months straight.
They also told us about a crack in the sling of one of the elevators in December 2022 but did not report it until September 2023 to the TSSA because we rejected their modernization quote.
They told us to repair the crack that we had to modernize the elevator at around $170,000.
Thankfully we are no longer working with them and have found a new elevator company who repair the crack for much less and we do not have to modernize the elevator at all.
Highly suggest using a different company than Pace! (Daniel Rozen - 6 months ago)

1 Stars - 1-2 of 3 elevators down nearly all the time. I`ve lived in my building for a year and not once have all 3 elevators been available for more than 3 weeks continuously. Absolutely unreal how low the level of quality is. (Dan Sprogis - 3 years ago)
1 Stars - Thyssenkrupp is by far the absolute worst elevator company in Toronto they should only be fired and never be hired. They closed down their Toronto production plant so parts will take ages to arrive. The elevators they service at ICE condos are broken 99% of the time. That`s right 99% of the time all elevators will not be in service. The average time to repair them is about 2 - 3 months and then after only days the same one or another will break and the cycle continues. The negative reviews here are very real and the few positive ones look fake. This company is incompetent and incapable of keeping elevators running. (Daide Murphie - 4 years ago)
1 Stars - The elevators at the Apex are constantly breaking. One has been out of service since June 6th (2 months at this point!) every other day, one of the other two elevators breaks down. A building of 40 floors has ONE elevator every other day. That is absolutely ridiculous and somehow this joke of a company was able to snag a TEN YEAR contract with the building?! No wonder you refuse to do nothing. (Eileen Li - 5 years ago)
1 Stars - Worst elevator ever. 5 elevators for a 57 floor condo. Break down at least one sometimes 3 in any single month. This disgraceful mechanical garbage cannot function normally more than two months. 30-50% down rate and extreme long waiting for repair to be carried, e.g two months. (Random Name - 4 years ago)
1 Stars - Very bad and cheap company. Ice condo should have fired your contractors. Elevators are always out of services either due to Mechanical problems, parts missing or damaged. (cc aa - 7 years ago)
