1 Stars - I’m cancelled my contract with quality but they keep sending me bills and threatening to send my bills to a lawyer for collection. Instead of simply cancelling my account they threaten me. 1 Stars - Driver proceeds to use no indicator in merge lane, then starts to road rage after i honk at him.. Throws his arm out the window then does 40 in a 60 continuously for a solid 5 minutes.. We separate ways and he ends up turning around to follow me to a restaurant and waits outside till i come out.. Hire some new drivers absolutely crazy! (TJ Sutherland - 6 months ago)

The fact that there’s already a 1 star review just from their careless and uncourteous driving habits speaks volumes. 5 Stars - Peak Elevator is the most responsive and well-trained company we`ve ever had handle the elevator for our small business. Our technician was extremely well-versed with the equipment, took the time to explain everything for us and quickly cleaned up a small oil spill from our equipment. We`ve had several companies perform inspections for us in the past and Peak Elevator was hands down the best. Highly punctual and we had wonderful dealings with the company owner Shawn. There have been some issues neglected by one big name elevator company, so I decided to try working with a boutique company and it proved to be a really good decision. I`d like to mention here the excellent communication with Lucy, the quality of the work completed by elevator technicians led by Florin and generally the professionalism of the whole team. 5 Stars - This is one of the best elevator company that I have worked with in the last 25 years. Most reliable, excellent costumer service, with extensive knowledge on the products availble, making recomandation based on client needs, this way we can align with our budget without compromising in quality or safety. I had an issue with the internal phones and the man company send us a quote of $3000 per elevator to replace the phones. I contacted Element Elevator and on the first site visit for the quotation the fixed the phones by simply program it properly to interface with our new phone system. This is just a small example. 5 Stars - Element Elevators and their entire team are highly competent, knowledgeable , respectful, conscientious and responsible to their workmanship and their customers. Approximately two years ago they completed a full overhaul of our 4 elevators in our older eleven floor residential apartment buildings and continued with a service contractor. I couldn`t be happier with the quality and time efficiency of their work. They remind me of how business use to run , with complete pride in workmanship. 1 Stars - Worst Customer Service and follow through of any contractor i have had in my 40 years of experience. Their neglect and lack of responsiveness is nothing short of disgusting. They make sure someone recovering from cancer hears the absolutely loudest elevator sounds for months on in claiming they have fixed the problem when they have not and everyone is aware. This is a Lazy slobbish money hungry greedy company that will let you suffer to die in the comfort of your home bc they don’t want or can’t do their job right. 1 Stars - This review is not based on the company/craftsmanship. Just a couple of employees. My partner and I were out having breakfast this morning, next to a table of two men. To the annoyance of the fellow diners, they LOUDLY played voicemail messages on speakerphone while diners tried to enjoy their meal. This lasted about ten minutes straight. When my partner opted to be the one to ask them to please turn down the volume, she was rudely met with a grunted “We’re in a meeting!”, like they were some sort of dignitaries. No one less in the restaurant wanted to hear business discussions much louder than anything else in the room. On top of that, the impolite response was uncalled for. I kept my temper in check, and watched out the window to see if there was a company logo on their vehicle. Just a sad reminder of how poor actions can negatively affect a business. 1 Stars - I live in a condo in London, Ontario. I had dropped my keys down the shaft of the elevator in my building and I called my superintendent to place a call to Schindler Elevators who has the contract for the building to retrieve the keys. I was standing beside my super when he called to advise that I had dropped my keys. My super advised them that this was NOT an emergency and to retrieve the keys the next time they attended at the premises. I called my son who used to work for that elevator company and he called and spoke with Darren. Darren advised my son that he had already retrieved the keys and they were left at the condo. I had received them the next and said to my super that they had better not charge me because we had specifically told him that it was not an emergency. My super advised if Schindler charged me for this, that we would make a complaint and I also agreed as this would not cost me anything if it was not an emergency. Of course, I received an invoice from the Schindler charging me $234.38 for an emergency retrieval of my keys. This incident occurred in October and I left the 1st message with no call back from them. I have now called 3x and have not received a call back from them. I advised them today that if I’m not important enough to contact me then I’m not important to pay this fraudulent invoice which stated that the owner approved the charge which is definately not true as I specifically asked my super to make the call in from of me. So there would be no miscommunication about the service. He was told there would be NO charge since it was not an emergency. This is terrible, deplorable behaviour of Schindler to charge a senior for something she specifically advised them not to do on an emergency basis and then charges me anyway and that will not return any of my messages. While the tech couldn`t find the problem right away, he was persistent and adamant on getting to the issue. He was also very friendly and courteous. I would recommend highly. 5 Stars - I cannot speak highly enough of this service - from the mechanics, technicians to the administrative folk. They are amazing! We were in a real pickle when my father died and my mother was coming to stay with us. We needed the elevator badly and the other service we`d been trying to get to fix it kept us waiting 6 weeks. Not only did Ted send reassuring emails to let us know they`d help us out, I learned he had been on vacation out of the country! Wayne and Alec came and worked hard (and long - even late on the Friday of a holiday weekend) to make sure we had the elevator running for my mother`s arrival. Not only that, their sensitivity and condolences were so sincere and extremely comforting to all of us at such a tough time. Since then, we were impressed at the well organized maintenance plans they provided for us. There was no hard sell at all - simply an opportunity to choose what worked for us. It was so clearly laid out, it was simple to choose. We are delighted that they will come regularly and that they will stimulate the appointment making at appropriate intervals to ensure regular elevator maintenance. Since then, we had one other nasty time when we were both stuck in the elevator with lots of groceries - including melting icecream. We phoned the number - and Ted`s cheerful voice greeted us and helped problem solve how to get out of the elevator. He was willing to come and help if we couldn`t manage over the phone. His calm demeanour, genuine care for people and pride in his work make us loyal customers! Not to be forgotten is the very personable Muniza who has been cheerful and helpful over the phone on several occasions, facilitating easy bill payment and appointment scheduling. The technicians are not knowledgeable
In my building one elevator broke down one month ago until now nothing has been fixed.

1 Stars - We used Pace elevators to install in our family’s new custom built home. Matt was very friendly in the beginning and ensured they’d follow us along and ensure no problems arise after the installation. It worked for a few weeks and then we started experiencing problems. They refuse to send an experienced technician to address the issue and now we’re stuck using a different company to come and fix the issue that were still having. I would STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST using them for any residential or commercial elevators. We are also now in contact with TSSA about the quality and experience we’ve had with Pace. They send a young, inexperienced technician who needs to constantly be on the phone with their manager rather than the manager visiting your home. They bill you for their time yet leave your elevator unusable in your time of need. Parts ordered rush do not arrive in a timely manner. They supposedly fixed parts of our elevator yet left it in non-working order when our daughter was recovering from knee surgery. Do not use this company if you need a working elevator. They promised they could take care of Schindler elevators but one of our elevators was shut down for 8 months straight. They also told us about a crack in the sling of one of the elevators in December 2022 but did not report it until September 2023 to the TSSA because we rejected their modernization quote. They told us to repair the crack that we had to modernize the elevator at around $170,000. Thankfully we are no longer working with them and have found a new elevator company who repair the crack for much less and we do not have to modernize the elevator at all. 1 Stars - Thyssenkrupp is by far the absolute worst elevator company in Toronto they should only be fired and never be hired. They closed down their Toronto production plant so parts will take ages to arrive. The elevators they service at ICE condos are broken 99% of the time. That`s right 99% of the time all elevators will not be in service. The average time to repair them is about 2 - 3 months and then after only days the same one or another will break and the cycle continues. A building of 40 floors has ONE elevator every other day. That is absolutely ridiculous and somehow this joke of a company was able to snag a TEN YEAR contract with the building?! Their service was so bad that I was willing to let go of the under warranty free services and find a different company to maintain it. To my luck I found express elevators and they genuinely turned the entire experience around for me. Not only are they prompt in responding and scheduling emergency services , they have the best team of kind, knowledgeable and skilled staff who go above and beyond in catering their clients! They support employees and everyone collaborates in a friendly environment. They are open to new idea, recommendations and also they provide required training if you need. They have straight and clear expectations from employees. As an employee, you need to be very organized and meet the deadlines as they stick to timeline and sometimes you need to work longer hours but there was an option to work from home which was making the balance. You would think a professional company would go above and beyond to make sure the materials and labour are %100 ready to go before shutting down the only elevator. The other day i walked by and the labourer was on the phone getting trained on what to cut next. He is just one guy, (no right hand man…no one will work with him regularly, because he lies and rips them off) he can’t do all the work in a timely manner as he is fairly old, Elevator one won’t take liability for their referral and recommendations, they just take your money. 1 Stars - Not recommending this elevator company, my elevator broke down numerous times within one and half year, scheduled technician to service and got No Call No Show twice.
Elevator broke down again last week and technician came over said parts needed to be changed and Lakeview Elevator charged us over $300 for the half an hour visit just to tell us parts needed to be replaced, elevator still not working, and I need to pay another 2 hours labour for replace the parts for next visit. The team was professional, efficient, and very knowledgeable about their work. From the moment I contacted them, they were responsive and accommodating. The overhaul was done with great care, and the team ensured that everything was working perfectly before they left. 1 Stars - I was really surprised to see so many 1 Star reviews about the company`s drivers but here I am because this driver almost caused me to rear end him because he cut me off as I was slowing down for a red light. Apparently being first in line for a red light is super important to them.

1 Stars - Very unprofessional staff. They are refurbishing our condo elevators and start drilling and banging at 7am although the agreed time is 9am to 5pm. Staff wants to start early so they can go home early without any respect for other people’s sleep. They are always chatting and on breaks. It has taken more than 4 months to complete an elevator. 1 Stars - The CEE elevator inside the Skywalk at the corner of Station street and Lower Simcoe street too frequently does not work. This particular elevator does not work at least 4 times a week. This is too ridiculous, because it`s been happening for years. CEE ELEVATOR SERVICE LTD should stop it with the temporary fixes and permanently fix this problem. (Some Dude - 4 years ago)

1 Stars - I recently encountered a driver with license plate BV 78361 who displayed disrespectful behavior on the road. They were continuously honking their horn in an obnoxious manner, even during an accident. This lack of concern for others and reckless driving was truly concerning. My advice to them would be to practice patience while driving. The road is not a playground, and it`s important to remember that our actions can have serious consequences. 1 Stars - Two nights ago Selco van nearly ran me and my dog over as we crossed a green light. It was dark but still a well lit intersection plus van was turning into oncoming lane as I was mostly done crossing. I`m sure they do excellent elevator work but not driving. (Carlos Lara - a year ago)
1 Stars - Employees are careless on the road. Witnessed one of them in a company truck reversing on a street in downtown Toronto and hit a pedestrian trying to cross the road. Pedestrian was fine (she got bumped) but driver didn`t even say sorry or stop to check if she was ok. (Andrew B. - a year ago)

5 Stars - The owner Jeff and his team are just a fantastic group of people. Office is clean and professional. They specialize in elevator interiors and are maybe the best in Canada. I had an excellent experience with them, all interactions were efficient and everyone I met made me feel appreciated and special.
